Green Culture Africa is a Non-Governmental Organization registered by the NGO Coordination Board, Kenya under the Environmental Conservation Agenda. We are based in Nairobi; Kenya and our territorial activities focuses on the Republic of Kenya.

At Green Culture Africa, we champion environmental conservation through our five action pillars that are focused on climate change that will not harm our planet further. These pillars are integrated with a sustainable model that ensures continuity of each intervention and they are mainly Creating Awareness, Capacity Building, Advocacy, Strategic partnerships, Deforestation solutions and Reforestation/Afforestation activities.

We operate in the following counties: Kajiado, Kilifi, Meru, Tharaka, Nithi, Nakuru, Wajir, Trans, Nzoia, Kakamega, Migori

OUR PILLARS.

  • Raising Awareness: - Creating awareness is the process that seeks to inform and educate people on climate change with the intention of influencing their attitudes, behaviors and believes towards championing the climate change agenda. we note the need to raise awareness for people to understand what climate change challenges the world is facing at the moment. The more people are aware of the repercussions of climate change the more they are likely to pay attention and act from an individual and collective point. This is easier if this awareness has no financial implications to the recipient. We facilitate institutions and communities to achieve greater awareness to embrace a lifestyle that is not destructive to nature.
  • Capacity Building: - GCA believes in sustainability through developing and empowering people and institutions that will grow to champion the agenda of climate change. We endeavor to educate and develop capacities especially at the community and corporate level. We believe knowledge is power and especially when its timely and relevant.
  • Advocacy: - GCA advocates at every level on climate issues, this we do through research, public education and lobbying in order to influence public policy. GCA hopes to achieve this by playing a key role in the advocacy space within the country, through data collection, collaborations whilst using a legal regulatory framework.
  • Reforestation and Afforestation: - This plays a big role in the implementation activities of Green Culture Africa and we are focused on 500,000 trees per year, per identified county in Kenya, as part of the global and national agenda on ground cover. We plugged into the global and national campaigns on Climate Change, with a view to making a positive impact to the Kenya and global environment and population.
  • Deforestation: - At Green Culture Africa we champion awareness creation on the need to nurture our green cover and specifically trees and fruit trees, to avoid the environment degradation. The biggest population in the rural areas of Africa use wood as cooking and fire aid and this has played a huge role in depleting the tree cover.
